Le Mazelet

Le Mazelet is a small vineyard nestled in the foothills of the Cévennes (Piémont Cévenol), in the department of the Gard in the Languedoc, west of the Rhône Valley, surrounded by olive groves and pretty medieval villages.
The venture is a collaboration between Kim Nasmyth and Ronald van Breemen, who share a passion for making wine naturally. No pesticides or herbicides are used and sulphur is kept to a minimum. The grapes, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon, are grown on clay and limestone soils that give structure and fullness to the wines. They are selected and hand-picked in the vineyard.  The wine is made in Le Mazelet cellars and the bottling is done on site.
Travel to the beautiful wine region of the ‘Piemont Cévénol’ and visit this privately run vineyard. You will be taken on an escorted tour of the vineyard where the winemaker will provide an overview of the grape growing and wine making process. In the ‘petit’ cellar you can see, smell and taste the range of wines.
